Also if a new third Injustice game comes out it should be heavily inspired by Zack Snyder's Justice League 2021! The scale and epicness of this movie from the trailers just looks amazing! If the game devs take inspirations from the movie with Darkseid as the main villain, the other villains like Kalibak, Granny Goodness, Desaad, Grail, etc.
If this movie becomes successful there should be more DC movies. I'm hoping that the Snyder Cut might open doors to new games and sequels. I'm just hype for the DC Cinematic Universe. I've played Injustice Gods Among Us on consoles. Other rumors and supposed leaks claim that John Constantine, the Huntress, Penguin, Etrigan, Killer Croc and Zatanna will join Manhattan and Neo in the game's line-up. A since deleted 4chan "leak" also names Nekron as the game's final boss, suggesting a riff on the Blackest Night crossover. However, all of this needs to be taken with a grain of salt at this point.After seeing the Snyder Cut I finally decided to play Injustice 2. Corporate synergy might make it happen, as he's owned by Warner Brothers and has a new movie in production. Rumors also persist that Neo from The Matrix will be a playable character. It's unlikely NetherRealm will lean too hard on Doctor Manhattan as an antagonist after all of Kronika's time travel machinations in MK 11's story mode. It would make sense for at least one member of Watchmen's cast to make the cut this time around (if not a full blown crossover) if for no other reason than that Injustice has killed off so many DC heroes. There's also been a hit HBO series since the last Injustice game, putting the series back in the public consciousness.
DC has increased its integration of Watchmen characters in its comics since Injustice 2 dropped the Doomsday Clock mini-series debuted months after Injustice 2. An image created by fan artist Boss Logic has created speculation that characters from Watchmen will be involved in the game, something Ed Boon teased for Injustice 2, though nothing came of it. At this point, all we have to go one is rumors.
